Danny Estavillo, Managing Director of The Nerdery’s West region, has been named a 2018 40 Under 40 honoree by Phoenix Business Journal. The annual award highlights 40 leaders in the Phoenix area, all under the age of 40, who have demonstrated outstanding professional achievement while also becoming leaders in their communities.
"Danny has been instrumental in accelerating our growth in The Nerdery’s West region,” said Adrian Slobin, Nerdery CEO. “Under his leadership, our Phoenix office is flourishing as we've gained great clients, hired amazing people and outgrown our current space. We’re honored to have Danny, a true leader in business and in the Phoenix community, at the helm during this very exciting time for The Nerdery."
Estavillo joined The Nerdery in 2016 as its Business Development Director in Phoenix, and was promoted to Managing Director of the West region in 2018. As Managing Director, Estavillo helps clients think holistically about how digital can integrate into all stages of business. Known for his intellectual curiosity and strategic thinking, Estavillo is adept at translating business objectives and marketing plans into well-designed solutions. He applies analytical rigor, critical thinking and creativity to help clients move into the future, and has a passion for helping organizations overcome complex problems to become industry leaders.
“I am grateful and humbled to be part of the 2018 40 Under 40 class. The drive and impact of the other honorees is incredibly motivating,” said Estavillo. “I am proud to call Phoenix The Nerdery’s regional home in the West. We’re eager to continue making a difference in the tech community, and in the lives of our clients and our Nerds who are navigating this fascinating digital world.”
Prior to joining The Nerdery, Estavillo served in leadership positions with Verizon, Target and Guaranteed Rate and rose to Sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps. Estavillo also co-founded Biltmore Psychology and Counseling — a counseling and psychological health practice focused on increasing wellness while removing the mental health stigma — with his wife, Dr. Melissa Estavillo. He is a Founding Member of the AZ Tech Council MedTech Conference and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Economics and an MBA in Entrepreneurship from Arizona State University.
40 Under 40 honorees come from a variety of industries and nonprofit organizations and join more than 680 alumni who have been recognized over the years and who have risen to become elected officials, CEOs and community leaders around the region. Recipients were honored at an Aug. 2 event and awards presentation and also featured in the Aug. 3 Phoenix Business Journal publication.
