Minneapolis, May 15, 2018 — Digital business consultancy The Nerdery and three of its clients have won five 2018 Communicator Awards, including one Communicator Award for PING, two Communicator Awards for Hy-Vee and two Communicator Awards for Hennepin Healthcare. With entries received from around the world, the Communicator Awards is the largest and most competitive awards program honoring creative excellence for communications professionals.
The Nerdery’s 2018 Communicator Award wins and categories:
- PING; Website; Visual Appeal, Aesthetic
- Hy-Vee Market Grille; Mobile Apps/Site; Visual Design, Aesthetic
- Hy-Vee Aisles Online; Website; Shopping
- Hennepin Healthcare; Website; Structure and Navigation
- Hennepin Healthcare; Website; Healthcare Services
With new mobile apps and reimagined website, Hy-Vee adopted a digital-first culture and become a technology leader in their space, representing the digital manifestation of their slogan, “A Helpful Smile In Every Aisle.” Hennepin Healthcare’s website launch was timed to Hennepin County Medical Center’s rebranding – now their new digital presence is the result of The Nerdery’s consultative approach to understanding client goals and spotlighting one of the region’s largest healthcare network's breadth and depth of care. Recreating PING.com allowed PING to deliver a cutting-edge, on-brand customer experience through its website – a launchpad in creating new consumer interactions.
“We are proud to be recognized for the creativity of our work and excited for the impact it has had on these three great clients,” said Adrian Slobin, Chief Strategy and Operating Officer at The Nerdery.
The Communicator Awards are judged and overseen by the Academy of Interactive and Visual Arts (AIVA), a 600+ member organization of leading professionals from various disciplines of the visual arts dedicated to embracing progress and the evolving nature of traditional and interactive media. “We are extremely proud to recognize the work received for the 24th Annual Communicator Awards,” noted Derek Howard, Director of the AIVA. “On behalf of the Academy members, I’d like to applaud the entrants this season for their dedication to producing outstanding content as they continue to push the envelope of creativity.”
Previously, The Nerdery won a 2017 Communicator Award for its work with Valspar. Earlier this year, PING and The Nerdery also earned Arizona Interactive Marketing Association’s (AZIMA) highest honor for PING.com, winning AZIMA’s 2018 TIM Award for Best Consumer Website.
