The Nerdery has received the Business Intelligence Group’s BIG Award for Business and was named recipient of the 2018 Case Study of the Year. The organization’s annual program was launched to reward companies, products and people that are leading their respective industries.
Digital business consultancy The Nerdery was honored specifically for its case study on helping Hy-Vee become a technology leader in the grocery industry. Here is some of the transformative impact benefitting Hy-Vee and its customers, as cited in The Nerdery’s case study titled “Infusing Digital-First Culture into Brick-and-Mortar Grocery.”
“The Nerdery helped Hy-Vee penetrate digitally-focused consumers in new markets. We created a new revenue stream for Market Grille via an ordering and delivery mobile app. We moved traditional print couponing and deals to mobile apps to generate an entirely new customer base who shopped exclusively online. And, we made all Hy-Vee e-commerce sites accessible to reach more people. Hy-Vee saw a 96 percent increase in users adding deals to their shopping list via our enterprise API – and the conversion rate of these deals more than doubled. Hy-Vee’s loyalty program, ‘Fuel Saver Plus Perks,’ saw a 20 percent increase in usage, with onboarding time 17 times faster. After our redesign, 91 percent of new app users activated a loyalty card compared to less than 25 percent previously.”

“We are so proud to reward The Nerdery for their outstanding 2018 results,” said Maria Jimenez, chief nomination officer of the Business Intelligence Group. “This year’s group of winners are clearly leading by example in the global business community.”
