With agency partner Zeus Jones, we created Nordstrom-branded Facebook and MySpace applications so customers could talk fashion with their peers and consult with personal shoppers.
Conceived and designed by Zeus Jones, the applications were developed using Flash and/or FBML, PHP 5, and MySQL. The app is installed by members of the Facebook and MySpace communities and displayed on their member profiles.
Geared for a brand-name-conscious crowd, the application allows users to talk about the fashion of the day, tell others what they're wearing, and rate their fashion "mood" (one of the options, for example, is "hot"). The application compiles data from people across the country, so in one glance users can see what the trends are.
The application provides a link to Nordstrom's e-commerce website, so users can shop for the most talked-about brands.
