Faced with a complex Flex application, Minneapolis interactive marketing agency Popular Front hired us to get the first development phase for Groovy Girls and end clients Manhattan Toy up and running.

The Nerdery helped Popular Front realize their creative design and launch as planned, after which we returned as lead web developers for subsequent feature-adding phases done in Flash, Flex, and ActionScript.

Developing the site in Flash and Flex allowed us to integrate Popular Front's creative elements in a way that scales to many users. The Groovy Girls site lets kids interact online in a safe way, walking around in virtual worlds built around complex mapped coordinates.

I think Popular Front looked upon us as a partner they could count on. We worked within the existing framework. They were really well organized. They take their test plans seriously, and they understand interactive development -- they're a pleasure to work with.
