Winners of the 2010 Quality of Life Awards, presented by the Minneapolis Regional Chamber of Commerce, were recognized on Thurs., April 22 at the 20th annual recognition dinner and ceremony at the Marriott City Center in Minneapolis. The three companies recognized for their work are 3M, Nerdery Interactive Labs, and Priority Integrated Marketing.
Nerdery Interactive Labs, a division of Sierra Bravo, was recognized in the Medium Business category for their leadership role in The Nerdery Overnight Website Challenge, organizing volunteer web developers to create new websites for local nonprofit organizations.
In the Large Business category, 3M was recognized for their leadership and depth of partnership in supporting the life-saving work of the Be the Match Foundation and the National Marrow Donor Program. Priority Integrated Marketing was recognized in the Small Business category for their partnership with Memorial Blood Centers - and for hosting highly-attended internal blood drives six times a year.
The Quality of Life Awards publicly acknowledge local businesses and organizations who exemplify outstanding leadership in the community and workplace. They are honored for their superior work in providing desirable places to work and creating sound communities in which they live and do business.

"While most of our staff of just over 100 has been involved in The Nerdery Overnight Website Challenge, we could not do it without interactive talent from throughout our local community," said Nerdery president Luke Bucklin. "We share this honor with all volunteers who've given their time and talent to help nonprofit organizations do what they do, better."
The Minneapolis Regional Chamber of Commerce is comprised of over 1,000 members representing 68 communities throughout the 11-county metro area. Affiliates include the Bloomington Chamber of Commerce and the Northeast Chamber of Commerce. Their mission is to create powerful partnerships to unite and grow member businesses in the region.
