Sierra Bravo Corporation Acquires Glass Software from Pixius Communications
Sierra Bravo Corporation acquired the LePic Glass System and Verity Glass System software packages and customers from Pixius Communications. These packages are used by flat and auto glass retail and wholesale shops for quoting, order processing, purchasing, inventory and accounting.
Sierra Bravo’s expertise in the areas of legacy character-based applications as well as mainstream technologies will allow these customers to take advantage of a broad range of Sierra Bravo’s solutions.
“Many of the glass software users are ready to take their business to the next level when it comes to EDI and Internet communications. I am confident that Sierra Bravo is best equipped to provide new technology solutions as well as ongoing software maintenance for these customers,” explained Luke Bucklin, President of Sierra Bravo Corporation.
Sierra Bravo aims to breathe new life into the glass software packages by providing mainstream solutions to augment the existing business software. “The core package has not been significantly updated in over five years, and a lot has changed in the way that businesses use technology since then. Simple things such as electronic purchase order transmittals and online account inquiry can have a huge impact on the way a small business interacts with its customers and suppliers,” says Bucklin. “We’re looking forward to applying our skills and experience to this group of customers to provide low-cost and high-value solutions.”
