Victaulic, the world leader in pipe-joining systems, tapped The Nerdery’s development and user experience capabilities for an information architecture engagement to satisfy the needs of their customers. Victaulic was in need of a modern sales tool to properly demonstrate their full range of capabilities to clients.
For the project, The Nerdery’s UX team got to game-plan the information architecture for Victaulic’s website. Our embedded UX department worked with Nerdery developers to create a content management system, for which Victaulic had more than a hundred specialized requirements. Much of Victaulic’s most valuable web content had been hidden on the site in difficult to find places. Based on our understanding and research of Victaulic’s users, we redesigned their content layout, making the search for relevant content a more intuitive and streamlined process.
Deliverables included: UX plan; stakeholder interviews; heuristic analysis; competitor analysis; content audit; sitemap; wireframes; informational taxonomies; reusable content templates and structuring; and ultimately, a revamped (and mobile-friendly) website..
