Using open source PHP frameworks, The Nerdery developed a custom PHP-based content management system for CaringBridge.com - the nonprofit website that connects family and friends during a critical illness, treatment or recovery, in home with more than 155,000 personal sites.
Each day, more than half-a-million people connect through CaringBridge.com. User generated content is managed and moderated for myriad media formats. The CMS allows users to create new sites with personalized text and images, update patient care journals, and donate to families in need.
This custom-built CMS also has extensive administrative functions; the CMS validates user-input HTML, is time-sensitive aware for a global audience, and provides multi-lingual support.
